Born and raised in Douala (Cameroon) from Greek parents, I studied Graphic Design and advertising in France. In the years following my studies, I lived and worked in many countries (France, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada) before settling in Greece in 1997, where I founded my own agency. I have been awarded for my design works and have been the art director for numerous magazines (+Design, Insider Athens, Bonjour, etc.).
While I have been creating art in various forms throughout my life it was not until 2013, after recovering from a serious heart surgery, that I gradually dedicated myself to painting on a fulltime basis.
I admire and love the works of many artists, past and present, with very different styles and cultures. I wouldn’t be able to judge myself as having a specific influence other than being mostly attracted to realism. This “labeling” makes me feel uncomfortable as by doing so, I believe people would expect me to create again and again in a certain way. I try to protect my freedom and the spontaneity to create whatever I want, as I want it, allowing myself to be entertained and for you to be surprised.”
